Burnie Identities: Mr John Pease OAM
One of Burnie's most known and loved local legends. I was incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Mr Pease. Having had the opportunity to interview and photograph him throughout the process of Burnie Identities was fantastic. A lover of all things local and a wealth of knowledge regarding anything to do with his beloved Burnie, Mr Pease had become a local identity in his 94 years. His presence in the community will be sorely missed and while I only briefly met with him these moments are captured in photographs that are immensely important as they are a record of life and celebration of his contributions to our community.
Some of these photographs were displayed at the end of year art opening in 2021 at Hellyer College and again for the "Burnie Identities" exhibition in 2022, other photographs have remained unedited until now.
